A-List Voted 2nd 2010 Best Massage

A-List Winner 2009 banner

Teri Studer is a licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in the State of Iowa (LIC. #04935) and is a member in good standing with both the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage (NCBTM). She graduated from Carlson College of Massage Therapy in February 2008. In addition to her 775-hour certificate from CCMT, Teri also has a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Deciding a corporate life was not for her after 15 years, she fulfilled a long-standing dream to become a massage therapist. Teri knows body work restores impaired energy by nourishing the body and mind on a cellular, emotional and spiritual level. Having personally recovered from a couple of auto accidents and "sitting at a computer" with the help of massage and chiropractic care, she is acutely aware of what is required to heal from trauma and injury. When given the opportunity to free your self from discomfort, a whole new perspective comes to life - your vitality can be re-awakened. She uses her intuition and education to help all of her clients maintain an optimal level of wellness and looks forward to working with those committed to their own health and well being.

Teri's philosophy is to work with the whole person addressing all areas of one's life to help people find balance and reduce tension and stress. While constantly improving her techniques through continuing education, she is able to tailor her massage to fit each individual by drawing on many modalities, blending and incorporating the necessary techniques, such as trigger point therapy, myofascial release, deep tissue, orthopedic, and Swedish massage strokes that create a deep, relaxing and effective massage.

You can also find Teri bringing the gift of touch to many through on-site chair massages at different events she volunteers for in Cedar Rapids/Marion or through wellness programs at a few companies in the area. Some of her hobbies include reading, golfing, skiing, exercising, learning more about health and wellness, home improvement projects and spending time with her daughter. After one year of practicing Teri was voted #3 in the Corridor on the KCRG A-List.

Lindsey Aldeman is a licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Iowa (Lic. #005070). She graduated from Capri College (Dubuque) in April of 2008 from a 660+ hour program. Up until now, she has been practicing in Oxford Junction, Iowa. She’s new to the area after living in Davenport, Dubuque, and Cedar Falls.

Lindsey has always had a deep connection to bodywork and sought to fulfill her dream upon high school graduation. Stress management and revitalization are something Lindsey understands and displays through her work. She makes it a point to work with clients individually to achieve their wellness goals. Massage therapy is also an art, which drew her to bodywork. She has halfway completed her Studio Art Bachelor’s degree at The University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA, but is choosing to take a creative break.

She has expanded her education with training in Traditional Thai Massage, which is based on spiritual and sacred bodywork. A combination of Yoga, energy work, stretching, and Yogic breathing, make for a completely new and relaxing experience. She is excited to pursue more training in the upcoming months. Lindsey hopes one day travel to Thailand to continue learning Thai bodywork and more about their culture.

Lindsey's philosophy is to help clients gain a better understanding of how their own bodies function, so that they can recognize their own dysfunction and seek to rehabilitate mind, body and spirit. She works to find the right fit for everyone’s body, blending and incorporating techniques, such as myofascial trigger point therapy and Swedish massage strokes that create relaxing and lasting benefits.

Her passions include Art, bodywork, drawing, being a student, music, and coffee.
